DMCA Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
⚠️ Important: Zuku does not host, store, or distribute any manga content on its own servers. Zuku is a reading interface that accesses content from community manga platforms (such as MangaDex) via their official public APIs. To have content removed from those platforms, you should contact them directly. However, we can also remove specific titles from our app's catalog.
How Zuku Works
Zuku is a manga reader application that connects to community manga platforms through their official public APIs. Content displayed in Zuku — including community-uploaded and creator self-published manga — is served directly from those platforms. Zuku does not upload, copy, or redistribute any copyrighted material.
Copyright Infringement Claims
If you are a copyright owner or authorized agent and believe that content accessible through Zuku infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to us. Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove the relevant title from our application's catalog.
What to Include in Your Notice
A valid DMCA notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — the title, publisher, and author of the manga/manhwa you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the infringing material — the specific title as it appears in the Zuku app
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement of good faith — that you believe the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement of accuracy — that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Submit Your Notice
Send your DMCA takedown notice to:
zukuapps.dev@gmail.com
Subject line:
DMCA Takedown Notice — [Title]
Our Response
We will review each notice promptly. If the notice is valid and complete, we will take action within a reasonable timeframe by removing or disabling access to the identified title in our app's catalog. We will notify you of the action taken.
Please note: removing a title from Zuku's catalog does not remove it from the source platform. To have content removed from the original platform, you must contact them directly.
Counter-Notices
If you believe that content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice. Counter-notices must include the same identifying information as a standard DMCA notice, along with a statement that you consent to jurisdiction of the relevant court and that you believe the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to disable access to content that is the subject of repeated and valid DMCA notices.
